"Bartos is very good as Peter, capturing his lonely frustration and lack of self-awareness perfectly." (NYTheatre.com)

Sadly, I was not acting.

bio

Here's where I tell you strange bits of trivia and stuff you can't glean from a resume. Or something like that.

I was once in a band. I played the guitar and ukulele and wrote a few songs. We played CBGBs...which was pretty damn awesome.

I am a Leo. (roar)

My wife is pursuing a career in eco-gastronomy. I'm not entirely sure how to soundbite this, but I did learn that it's about sustainable, environmental and ethical food practices. Not about the stars and planets.

I am an oldest child.

I am afraid of the ocean. Have been ever since Jaws.

I wrote a screenplay that made it to the final round of the Sundance 2006 Screenwriters' Lab. It was my first script - a rock opera.

I have scars from injuries sustained at a grocery store AND a shopping mall when I was a kid. Hence, I'm not real big on shopping...for anything.

I got my left ear pierced (twice) when I was 25. My parents paid for it. I'm not proud of this, but there it is.

I've lived in Southern California, Texas, New Mexico, Oregon and New York.

Both sets of my grandparents are/were named Thomas & Dorothy.

Some of the songs I wrote and recorded with my old band have been used in both a short film and an award-winning indie feature.

I cannot whistle. I can, however, raise my right eyebrow independently of my left and curl my lip like Elvis.

My first job in Portland,OR was installing strip lights at a strip club...at 7AM. The strip club was open and serving breakfast to a few patrons. It's a good story. I'll tell you about it sometime.

If given half a chance, I will eat an entire bag of animal cookies - you know, the ones with white or pink frosting and lots of sprinkles.

Clearing up a misquote from an interview I did for Seventeen; I hate phonies, not ponies.

I wrote, recorded and directed this holiday classic.
